@Roberta Knauer – I will absolutely be talking about eReaders. I’ll be listing the pros and cons of different readers, but I will leave it to you to deduce a recommendation. It really depends on what you’re trying to lend out, and how legally risky you want to get. We’ll talk more on the 7th!

I signed up for the ebook workshop on Wednesday, and there is a topic I would like you to cover. Our library (Wyckoff Public Library in NJ) is considering purchasing some ebook readers for our patrons to borrow, as soon as we’re able to provide a decent amount of ebooks to load onto them. Which do you think would be better, the Kindle or the Nook? Our consortium (Bergen County Cooperative Library System) subscribes to Overdrive, but, as I’m sure you know, there are limited copies and long waiting lists for popular books. We’re thinking of joining
a group called “BEAT” for Bergen eAudio Team. I know there are also books in the public domain available through project Gutenberg.
