Barnes & Noble’s new eBook reader, the Nook, is now available for pre-order.  At $259, it’s a bit pricey but competitive with the Kindle & Sony Reader.  A feature getting a bit of buzz is this amorphous ability to share a book with a friend for a limited 2 week period, a slight foray into more open digital rights management.  But the word on the street is that it is still too restrictive, too proprietary, and too inflexible.  Read more in Information Week‘s story.
