Dataplace
Looking for statistics and information about a place?  A city, town, county, state, anything?  Take a look at DataPlace, a site I learned about at the Association or Rural and Small Libraries conference a few months ago.  It's great – just put in your place (name, zipcode, etc.) and see what comes back.  All sources are cited, you can compare one place to another, view a map of the statistics overlaid on the place, see your place ranked within your state or the whole U.S., and see a scatterplot of census tracts.  Rock on.  It is the easiest way to access Census-type data that I've found so far.
