A printed monthly health publication that I receive republished a 2007 article from the Los Angeles Times about evaluating health care providers and institutions.  The article is so awesome (and reads like a pathfinder a librarian put together, incidentally), that I thought others might find it useful too.  “How Well Do You Know Your Healthcare Provider” by Daniel Costello is only available as a PDF linked off of some healthcare advocacy group’s website (not sure why), but as long as it’s still out there for free, grab it!  It has useful links to evaluation tools, groups, and more – all good stuff that most people don’t know about.
