Thinking about creating a Facebook page for your library?  Take a look at David Lee King's "What can you do with a Facebook Page" post.  Excellent stuff, examples from libraries already using Facebook, and more recommendations than you can shake a stick at.  David's library, the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library, has a great page.  And the commenters added a lot to the discussion too, talking about what has and hasn't worked for them.  Even if you already have a page, my guess is that one of the suggestions listed here would make it better – so go read it!  Do it now!  I'm watching!

Great ideas in that article. I was able to replace “library” with “school” to make it equally effective for my organization.

Green Library at Stanford University has a Facebook page, with an account of our experiences with it here: http://chrisbourg.wordpress.com/2008/10/16/our-library-facebook-page/
