Multimedia becomes a bit more discoverable
October 29, 2008
Everyzing has launched a media player (called MetaPlayer) that lets you search for text content in multimedia files. This includes YouTube content, making it more functional than YouTube itself. Nice, eh?
Everyzing also offers a product called ezSEO that would be useful for libraries – a transcription tool that will take audio or video and transcribe the spoken words into a file. If your library is required to meet certain accessibility standards, and we all are to be truthful, then this would be worth the $ instead of having some poor aide sit in a cubicle playing and replaying every podcast and videocast trying to catch every word.
