WikiREADia

July 3, 2008

WikiREADia is a UK-based site devoted to, you got it, reading.  They have hundreds of ideas for librarians, teachers, parents, businesses and more to encourage reading in the community.  I found several gems here within only a few minutes of browsing.   As an example, take a look at the section for Adult Learners found under resources for teachers.  The site is not about books like so many other wiki-based reading sites are.  It’s about the art of reading, how to encourage and teach reading, and how to help people enjoy it.  While some small parts are UK-specific, most of the site is useful to anyone, anywhere.
