The Virtual Reference Desk conference, which had its final conference in 2005 (I was there, and I got the speaker portfolio to prove it), has been re-initiated under a new name, Reference Renaissance.  The first RR conference is slated for August 4-5, 2008 in Colorado.  The call for participation is open through early April, so start thinking about what you could offer to this group.

VRD was a worthwhile conference and I learned a lot.  I highly recommend it for reference staff of all types, even if you’re not doing online reference now.  Because trust me, at some point soon you will be.
