FeedBooks
October 4, 2007
FeedBooks, in beta right now, is a mobile device application that lets you do a lot of cool things: discover materials in the public domain, publish your own materials and share them with others, and create a cool-looking PDF "newspaper" using RSS feeds you choose from a "popular feeds" list with option additions of games or weather info. Currently, the site is geared toward two devices, the Sony PRS-500 & iRex iLiad, but you can download anything in PDF that will work on anything with Adobe Reader. The PDF "newspaper" is interesting to me – perhaps a library could easily create a daily quick-news summary and print a few copies off to put on the reference desk. Just a thought
