This is a site to add to your music subject guides for sure.  The University of Colorado at Boulder Music Library is digitizing its collection of approximately 150,000 items.  Some of the sheet music is up already–music from between 1890 and 1922.  The focus is primarily (so far) on music that has historical value to Colorado.  Take a look at the Title Pages Gallery to see a sampling.

The University is careful to add a disclaimer too, noting that some of the material in the collection may be offensive to today’s viewers, as the cultural beliefs of a century ago are sometimes not politic today.
