Code4Lib 2006

December 12, 2005

Code4Lib 2006 is happening February 15-17 in Corvallis, Oregon.  It’s going to be a "camp/conference" where people can code their brains out and share ideas regarding library applications.  And they’re looking for program proposals.  If you have more code-monkey skills than I do (and you probably do) check it out.  Hey, a trip to Oregon won’t hurt you!

  1. Jeff Davis Says:

Just to clarify, the Code4lib conference organizers say you don’t need to be a code monkey to go to Code4lib 2006:

“Let me go on record, as someone who has helped organize the code4lib conference, to say non-coders are more than welcome…there will be plenty of people who can program there…we want ideas, mindshare and collaboration. Please don’t let the computer programming jargon dissuade you from participating.” (http://www.inkdroid.org/journal/2005/12/08/lib4code/)

  2. Sarah Houghton (LiB) Says:

Thank you for clarifying Jeff. I certainly wouldn’t want anyone to feel excluded.
