My good friend and former boss David Dodd (author of two–going on three–books about the Grateful Dead and Director of the San Rafael Public Library) recommended that I check this out: EPIC 2014. 

It starts out as an informative history of recent web and media developments, and then projects what could happen in the future with additional media and service consolidation.  What would happen if Google & Amazon merged?  What kind of social networking can we expect in the future?  Could the New York Times go offline?  It’s 8 minutes of intelligent freedom-minded education.  The ambient soundtrack is kind of nice too.  Check it out!
