If this wasn’t two hours away from my house in rush hour traffic and on a worknight I’d be going for sure, but as it is, I’m still wavering.

This Tuesday (tomorrow!), BayCHI is holding an "open to the public" panel discussion with big name web search folks like Peter Norvig (Google), Ken Norton (Yahoo), and Jakob Nielsen (NN Group).  Reps from AskJeeves & A9 will also be attending.

So, if you’re anywhere near Palo Alto, for gosh’s sake, go!  Get more information on BayChi’s website.

Thanks to ResourceShelf for posting the info!

“Norvig, Norton, Nielsen, and more–oh my!”

  1. Steve Williams Says:

It was an interesting meeting. Standing room only. No, not even standing room! The overflow filled the lobby.

For what it’s worth, we’re working on publishing recordings of recent BayCHI programs under a Creative Commons license, in part because we know it’s tough for many people to travel to the meetings in person. Stay tuned!

  2. Sarah Houghton (Librarian in Black) Says:

Wow! That would be great…I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to get an audio or video recording of your programs.
