Bionic Eye
April 6, 2005
BBC News reports that a Johns Hopkins University professor has designed a bionic eye that can allow blind people to see. "Whaaaaa?" you say. A computer chip is implanted in the person’s eye and hooked up to a mini video camera built into a pair of glasses. The video images are beamed to the chip, which translates the images into something the brain can understand. Pretty cool.
