RSSscraper

August 9, 2004

I’m pathetic. I almost exclusively read sites through RSS feeds. If the site ha’nt got a feed, ‘taint being read. I know it’s wrong, I know I should get help, I know….

Oh….wait, wait! A piece of software that will enable my feed-driven universe? Bring it on!

From the site: “RSSscraper generates RSS feeds from websites who do not provide it themselves. This is done using a technique called screenscraping. New scrapers can easily be made in Ruby, shared with other RSSscraper users, and plugged in – ready to serve. Serving the RSS feeds works with either the built-in webserver, CGI or eRuby.” Ooh, yeah! Download RSSscraper, download Ruby, and you’re good to go! Now, Mr. Well Dressed Librarian, I will have you in a feed, I will I say! You and your sharp wit, too!

    Email me at your leisure.
