An article in the New York Times Technology section, entitled "What’s Next: Making a Web Search Feel Like a Stroll in the Library," discusses how searching, both on the web and on your own computer, is being made by some researchers to feel more like searching within a library.

Hmmm, you mean, we’ve had it right all along? Librarians actually (*gasp*) know how to search? You don’t say! Personally, I hope to see more projects like this in the near future.
