Design Theft

There’s an interesting discussion going on at MezzoBlue about design theft. How much of someone else’s design do you have to change for it not to be considered theft? A graded example is given–weigh in with your own opinion.

    For anyone who cares, none of the pictures should be useable, because they’re all derivatives and don’t meet any fair use criteria I’ve seen yet (usually involving amount used, purpose, legitimate appropriation of original, number of items created, and time limits on the use).
